Emma Brunet-Campain
THE ACTOR
Originally from France, Emma Brunet is an actor and a writer based in London. In 2019, she graduated with a BA Hons in Acting and Performance from the University for the Creative Arts where devising, improvisation, writing, self producing, and directing were all apart of her training; moulding her into a full rounded creative. Since graduating she has worked in both screen and stage with companies such as Les Enfants Terribles and the London Film School. As an actor, Emma is a committed performer who puts her heart and soul in every project. Alongside acting, she is a versatile writer committed to telling truthful, untold stories. She is an manic and completely unhinged (but then, aren't all the exciting artists?).

SCREEN
Emma takes on the lead role of Bartolomea in Immodest, a short film directed by Robyn Faye for Straight 8 2025. Inspired by real diary entries from 17th Century nuns, there's a lot packed into this 3 minute short and Emma delivers a stunningly emotional performance. Exploring themes of discovering queerness and female friendships, it's incredibly relevant despite its 17th century setting.
The film premiered at Cannes Film Festival on the 19th May at Cinema Olympia. It then made its UK premiere to a sold out audience at the BFI IMAX on the 24th May. It has since shown at The Prince Charles Cinema and Cannes Lions.
Sitting in Zoe's beat up, retro gold Beatle Volkswagen the two girls chomp on their fast food. At no point do they look at each other. We don't know why. They don't acknowledge their rather... interesting attire. We don't know why. But what they do do... is talk. About life, London and pigeons. Zoe and Lady must push through the loneliness they both feel, and perhaps in doing so realise that yes, they are lonely in London. But they are lonely together.
Alongside taking on the role of screenwriter, Emma stars in the short film Flying Duo as Lady. This film is in the final stages of post production and is due to be released at the end of 2025.
STAGE
Performing at the iconic Bush Theatre, Emma takes on the classic role of Helena in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. In a charity performance for Compass Collective, the emphasis of this production is girlhood, in keeping with this year's refugee week theme 'Community as a superpower'. Drawing from the community the creators knew best they had an all female cast, performing to a sold out audience on the Summer Solstice. By lending her acting abilities to the production Emma helped to raise over £1000 for Compass, a charity she is very passionate about.
